While Deb is involved in the overall steering committee of these ongoing projects. Initially, she focused efforts on co-design and co-facilitation of the Climate Change in the Salish Sea Archipelago, with Mayve Lydon and Belinda Claxton. This community based collaborative project with the W̱SÁNEĆ people and other peoples from across the Salish Sea Communities explored climate change science from the multiple lenses and histories of indigenous and non-indigenous peoples.

ṮEṮÁĆES Climate Action Project Course 3: Climate Change in the Salish Sea Archipelago February 16th to 21st, 2020. This third course in the series broadened the focus to the larger archipelago of the San Juan and Gulf Islands and explored cross border relationships in responding to the climate crisis. The course itself was a five-day intensive offered on Pender Island.
